Stasera ultima trasmissione di Good Rockin' Tonight in diretta su Radio Popolare prima della mia pausa estiva. Tornerò dal vivo mercoledì 10 settembre.

In questi giorni ho messo a punto la programmazione del Milwaukee 50's Diner, i primi due mesi della stagione, settembre e ottobre.
Per chi non lo sapesse, me ne occupo da qualche anno, esattamente dal 2004.
E' un locale in stile anni '50 (l'habitat naturale del Fowleasy!) situato a Varedo, Nord Milano, sulla super strada Milano-Meda.

Quest'anno ho avuto la fortuna di beccare qualche band americana tosta in tour nello stesso periodo e proprio all'inizio della stagione, credo che gli appassionati di rock and roll apprezzeranno moltissimo.
Quella del 19 settembre per esempio, un trio rockabilly del Colorado. Poi il venerdi seguente avremo il pianista dei mitici Blasters e dei Fabulous Thunderbirds! In arrivo un eccezionale gruppo di rhythm & blues anni '40 da Berlino e un'altra band rockabilly dalla Francia.
Spero di vedervi in alcune di queste occasioni, ci divertiremo sicuramente.

Sabato 11 ottobre il Fowleasy e il Metius li trovate all'Amigdala Theatre di Trezzo sull'Adda.
Per quel giorno i due scavezzacollo hanno organizzato il KUSTOM PARTY, un raduno di moto e auto con concerti surf, rock e rockabiily.
Si comincia alle 15.00, ci saranno stand di abbigliamento, accessori, gadget e fiumi di birra.
Si esibiranno RAY DAYTONA (surf), BALL & CHAIN (Social Distortion tribute band) e BACKSEAT BOOGIE TRIO (rockabilly).
I due famigerati organizzatori si presentano anche in veste di DJ, camerieri, presentatori e danzatori del ventre.
A chi non parteciperà cresceranno le corna.

Con questo mi pare di avervi detto tutto, non credo di aggiungere altro prima della mia partenza.

Sabato 9 agosto mi sono sparato un tot di ore di sala di registrazione per preparare le trasmissioni di Good Rockin' Tonight che andranno in onda il prossimo 20 e 27 agosto e 3 settembre da Radio Popolare alle 23.35.

Quella del 20 è dedicata alle donne del rock and roll, la puntata del 27 alle origini del rock and roll e quella del 3 settembre invece ai suoni più moderni e cattivi.

Quest'anno il Fowly & family per le sue vacanze va verso sud, con tappa a Livorno. Una tappa che si è aggiunta di recente, quando si è ricordato che nella cittadina toscana nel weekend del 16 e 17 agosto si consumerà un FESTIVAL SURF, in spiaggia, con gruppi italiani e stranieri, con bancarelle di abbigliamento-gadget-dischi, con dj, ecc. Il tutto offerto generosamente da un'organizzazione che ha trovato benevoli sponsor grazie ai quali riesce a non applicare nessun biglietto d'ingresso. Avete capito bene, tutto aggratis!
